333 Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the estimated additional cost of the Meath-Tyrone interconnector project, having regard to the fact that a circuitous route has been selected to avoid the very high concentrations of one-off housing along the route; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The planning, development and routing of transmission line infrastructure is a matter for EirGrid, the State owned body responsible for the electricity transmission system. I have no statutory function regarding the planning and construction of energy networks.
