Applicants under the Single Payment Scheme are required, inter alia, to declare one eligible hectare in respect of each payment entitlement held. Such land being declared for the purposes of the scheme is identified via the unique system of my Department’s Land Parcel Identification numbers, rather than using Land Folio ID numbers. However, if the owner of the lands provides proof of ownership to my Department’s Single Payment Unit, the requested information will be supplied directly to him/her.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 414 and 415 together.

An application under the Single Payment Scheme/Disadvantaged Areas Scheme was received from the person named on 6 May 2011, processing of which has recently been completed, thereby allowing the 50% advance payment under the Single Payment Scheme to issue on 28 October. Payment under the Disadvantaged Areas Scheme was also issued to the applicant on 28 October and the balancing payments under the Single Payment Scheme will commence to issue on 1 December, as is provided for in the relevant EU Regulations.
