300 Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if he will give a commitment that there will be no further bogs designated special areas of conservation or national heritage areas in the future. [12678/12]
View answerIreland has completed its nomination of sites for designation as raised and blanket bog Special Areas of Conservation (SACs). We have also designated a number of Natural Heritage Areas (NHAs). There are no proposals in my Department to add any further specific sites to these designations or proposals at this time.
