View answerThe Courts Service has informed me that the necessary arrangements are now in place to ensure that summonses issued from 16th May 2012 onwards to be amended to advise persons charged with an offence under the Road Traffic Acts to bring their driving licence and a copy of the licence to court with them. I am informed by the Court Service that all such summonses being sent to An Garda Siochána to be served from that date onwards will be amended as above. I understand that the amended summonses will refer to cases due before the courts from September 2012.
