Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if his attention has been drawn to the refusal of the Garda Commissioner to hand over files to the Attorney General in the Six Counties in relation to the reinvestigation by An Garda Síochána of the death of a person (details supplied) in County Donegal, to enable the authorities there to meet their responsibilities to examine the matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have requested a report from the Garda authorities in relation to the matter referred to by the Deputy. I will contact the Deputy again when the report is to hand.
