555. Deputy Billy Timmins asked the Minister for Health the position regarding correspondence from the Health Service Executive Bray to recipients of the home care cash grant informing them that this grant is to be reduced by 10% effective immediately in order for the HSE to operate within its financial allocation from Government in 2012; if this decision will be reversed in view of the essential services that the grant is used to pay for, that is, to enable persons to remain in their own homes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
