Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the reason for the delay in processing the applications by a company (details supplied) in County Kildare for Garda vetting which is required to enable the company to get a licence which would allow it to take up a pending contract; his views regarding delays in processing vetting applications. View answerI am informed by the Garda authorities that due to the absence of a date of birth for the persons referred to in the question, it was not possible to ascertain the status of these applications in the time frame provided for a response. As the outstanding information has now been provided, I have asked the Garda authorities to check on their status. I will communicate directly with the Deputy when the information becomes available.
