418. Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government his views on the apparent refusal of Homebond to appear before the Oireachtas Committee on Environment, Transport, Culture and the Gaeltacht to discuss the ongoing serious issues which impact on pyrite affected home owners; and if he will make a statement on the matter. HomeBond is a private limited company and decisions whether or not to appear before an Oireachtas Committee is a matter for its management and Board of Directors. However, I believe HomeBond should engage with the committee and I would encourage them to do so.
