175. Deputy Pat Breen asked the Minister for Health his proposals to assist in reducing the long waiting lists for orthodontic care in the mid-west region; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4354/14]

The HSE has commissioned an independent national review of orthodontic services, which will give guidance as to what changes will be desirable to provide the best possible model of care delivery. I have asked the HSE to reply directly to the Deputy regarding the provision of orthodontic services in the Mid West Region.
