I have no direct role in the provision of business supports to individual enterprises as this is a matter for Fáilte Ireland and accordingly I have referred the question to the agency for direct reply. Please contact my private office if a response is not received within ten working days.

It should be noted that Fáilte Ireland does not generally fund enterprises or individuals except in respect of tourism capital infrastructure and such funding is, in any case, generally contrary to EU State Aids rules.  However, local enterprise offices can assist microenterprises, including in the tourism sector, and the individual concerned may wish to contact his local office.
