Deputy Michael Creed asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the questran drug has been taken off the market and replaced with questran light but that the latter is not covered by the medical card; if his attention has been drawn to the financial consequences of this for transplant patients; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Health Service Executive is responsible for the administration of the primary care schemes, therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
