337. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection if she will review the decision not to award an increase in supplementary welfare in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [32155/14]
View answerThe client concerned had been advised that an increase in supplementary welfare allowance in respect of a child dependant may be considered if sufficient evidence of custody is submitted. The community welfare officer is currently in direct contact with the client concerned with a view to establishing the legal position. When the requested documents are received, the community welfare officer will assess the clients entitlement for the supplementary welfare allowance scheme.
