Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn asked the Minister for Health the numbers of non-consultant hospital doctors, NCHDs, that are employed on a locum basis in hospitals throughout the State; the numbers of NCHDs that are employed on a contract basis; and the difference in cost to employ a NCHD on a locum basis as opposed to a contract basis.
