It is my understanding that the three reviews of the pre-hospital emergency care system currently underway will be completed before the end of the year. While it would be premature at this stage to speculate on the outcome of the reviews, I am confident that these reviews will contribute to the development of a modern, properly resourced, clinically driven service which will provide appropriate and timely ambulance services for the benefit of patients.
