123. Deputy Mick Wallace asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection her views on increasing employer PRSI contributions on the portion of salaries above €100,000, as recommended by the Nevin Economic Research Institute; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [37018/14]

An increase in the employers’ PRSI contribution rate payable on the portion of salaries above €100,000 could only be considered in a Budgetary context and would have to take account of the Programme for Government commitment to maintain the standard 10.75% rate of employer PRSI.
