Deputy Joe Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if his Department intervened with Irish Water to secure fresh water supplies for a company (details supplied) to deal with an acute outbreak of disease in their salmon in south Connemara; and if his Department lobbied Irish Water for favourable terms for the delivery of such fresh water. My Department has had no dealings with Irish Water in relation to its consideration of foreshore licence applications from the company referred to by the Deputy.
