Durkan asked the Minister for Justice and Equality further to Parliamentary Question No. 127 of 6 November 2014, if the person is legally resident here; if they are required to make further application to upgrade-update their residency; if the person is eligible to upgrade their present status; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Any person who makes an application for asylum or subsidiary protection is issued with a temporary residence certificate which entitles the person to remain in the State until such time as their application is finally determined.
