View answerThe EU Commission Recommendation on common principles for injunctive and compensatory collective redress mechanisms in the Member States concerning violations of rights granted under Union law has a core purpose to facilitate access to justice, stop illegal practices and enable injured parties to obtain compensation in mass harm situations caused by violations of rights granted under Union law. As such, it is a horizontal measure addressed to Member States and provides common guiding principles in relation to collective redress systems in all areas of law and so is a matter more appropriate to my colleague, the Minister for Justice and Equality.
