View answerMy role as Minister is to develop and maintain the policy and regulatory framework within which the relevant regulatory authorities, i.e. the Environmental Protection Agency, local authorities, the National Waste Collection Permit Office and the National Transfrontier Shipments Office, discharge their respective regulatory and enforcement functions under the Waste Management Acts.
There is no single waste regulator and I have no plans to establish such an office.
