Deputy Denis Naughten asked the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation the cost of public advertising, statutory and non-statutory, funded by his Department in 2013 and 2014; the corresponding figure for agencies under the control of his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe total expenditure on advertising by my Department and its Offices in 2013 and 2014 was €57,684 and €101,937 respectively.
The payment of advertising fees by the Agencies under the aegis of my Department is a day-to-day matter for the individual Agencies concerned for which I have no direct function. I have, however, asked each Agency to advise me of any such expenditure in 2013 and 2014 and I will communicate that information to the Deputy as soon as it is available.
