Deputy Denis Naughten asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the cost of public advertising, statutory and non-statutory, funded by his Department in 2013 and 2014; the corresponding figure for agencies under the control of his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The State Agencies under the remit of my Department include Tusla, the Adoption Authority of Ireland and the Office of the Ombudsman for Children. Expenditure by them on advertising is a day-to-day operational matter and in the circumstances I have requested that they furnish the information directly to the Deputy.
