Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his views that proposals moved by the Taxi Regulation Review Group in 2011, and which currently form part of the public consultation document on taxi roof signs and mandatory SPSV driver safety equipment, would make in-car CCTV and partitions mandatory in all taxis; if he has considered the effects these proposals will have, if implemented, on costs to taxi drivers and their working conditions; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
