695. Deputy Seán Conlan asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the number of pre-2008 vehicles in Counties Monaghan and Cavan that paid road tax from 1 January 2015 to date; the revenue raised; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [34180/15]
View answerThe number of pre-2008 private vehicles under current taxation for each month from January to August 2015 for Cavan and Monaghan is set out below. It should be noted that, as vehicles can be taxed quarterly, half-yearly or annually, the numbers will include vehicles that have been taxed more than once during that period. Gross receipts for the period for pre-2008 vehicles were €6,989,199 in Cavan and €5,429,957 in Monaghan.
