696. Deputy Seán Conlan asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the number of vehicles in Counties Monaghan and Cavan registered from 2008 onwards that paid road tax; the revenue raised as a result of same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [34181/15]

The number of post-2008 private vehicles under current taxation for each month from January to August 2015 for Cavan and Monaghan is set out below. It should be noted that, as vehicles can be taxed quarterly, half-yearly or annually, the numbers will include vehicles that have been taxed more than once during that period. Gross receipts for the period for post-2008 vehicles were €2,639,661 in Cavan and €2,420,557 in Monaghan.
