697. Deputy Seán Conlan asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the number of post-2008 vehicles that paid road tax from 1 January 2015 to date; the revenue raised; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [34182/15]
View answerThe number of post-2008 private vehicles under current taxation for each month from January to August 2015 is set out below. It should be noted that, as vehicles can be taxed quarterly, half-yearly or annually, the numbers will include vehicles that have been taxed more than once during that period. Gross receipts from post-2008 private vehicles for the period in question were €175,052,557.
