400. Deputy Tom Fleming asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he will amend the current tuberculosis testing charges and exempt farmers from paying for more than one test in a year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [37354/15]

In general, a farmer only pays for one TB herd test each year and my Department pays for any consequential tests as a result of disclosure of TB.  However, in a limited number of specific circumstances, a farmer may be required to pay for more than one test in a year.   I have no plans to change these arrangements.
