339. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the number of special advisers on his staff and their yearly salary, from 2011 to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43674/15]
View answerThe information requested by the Deputy is set out in the following table. It should be noted that, since its establishment in June 2011, there have been three Ministers appointed to this Department, each with their own personal staff. In accordance with the Department of Finance and Department of Public Expenditure and Reform Guidelines on Staffing of Ministerial Offices, a total of two whole time equivalent Special Advisers were appointed to each serving Minister.
The information provided in the following table reflects worksharing arrangements, staff changes and the changes of Ministers and their Special Advisers in 2014.
