Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Health the status of the planned closure of the Coolevin unit in St. Mary's Hospital in the Phoenix Park in County Dublin, including the rationale for the closure and the alternatives that will be offered to the patients; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy's question relates to service matters, I have arranged for the question to be referred to the Health Service Executive (HSE) for direct reply to the Deputy.
