Deputy Barry Cowen asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to outline his views on whether the introduction of a usage based charge for electric car charge points by the Electricity Supply Board will discourage consumers from switching to electric vehicles and have a negative effect on Ireland's ability to meet the 2020 European Union transport renewables targets; and if he has discussed or will discuss this with the Electricity Supply Board.
