Deputy Shane Cassells asked the Minister for Education and Skills the status of the site acquisition for a new school (details supplied) which is included in the school building programme for commencement in 2017; when he will progress this project to the brief formulation document and schedule of accommodation stage; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerOfficials from my Department have worked closely with officials from Meath County Council under the Memorandum of Understanding for the acquisition of a site for this building project. A suitable site has been identified and negotiations with the Vendor of this site are underway.
Due to commercial sensitivities relating to site acquisitions generally I am not in a position to provide further details at this time. I can, however, assure you that the site acquisition for the school is being advanced by my Department.
