Deputy Michael Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine his plans to establish an online database of the Land Commission data dating from the pre-Cromwell time to the Griffith Valuation and through to the present day records; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Some 8 million records relating to the activities of the former Irish Land Commission are available in paper format only. There are no plans at present to make these records available online, my Department may consider this at a future date.
