Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Health the amount of legal fees paid by his Department in respect of tribunals of inquiry established by the State and any resulting legal actions; if he will provide these broken down by tribunal and by year for 2006 to 2016, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Tribunal of Inquiry into the infection with HIV and Hepatitis C of Persons with Haemophilia and related matters was established by the State in 1999. Legal costs for this tribunal for the years in question amount to €28,537, which was paid in 2007.
