Eoin Ó Broin
Question:91. Deputy Eoin Ó Broin asked the Minister for Education and Skills the reason a teacher who teaches in a Catholic school in the US for 13 years is only entitled to seven years incremental criteria under the provisions of circular 10 of 2001 while a teacher teaching in a comparable school in the UK for a comparable period of time is awarded credits on a year for year basis; his views on whether this practice is fair; and if he will undertake a review of this policy as outlined in circular 10 of 2001 to ensure that all teachers who have taught abroad are treated fairly.
