237. Deputy Noel Rock asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government the actions his Department is taking to strengthen against cyber attacks after the NTMA website was temporarily down for several hours after a suspected hacking attack; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department’s Information and Communications Technology Unit provides services to safeguard the Department’s computer and data networks. For security reasons, details of the measures used to strengthen our system against cyber attacks are not published.
