Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire asked the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment if he is satisfied the staffing resource levels of the Commission for Energy Regulation is sufficient; if there has been a review of the staffing levels; his plans to increase staffing levels; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The current staffing levels and grading structure at the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) were agreed early last year following an extensive engagement between the CER, my Department and the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform. There have been no requests to my Department for any additional staff posts since then.
