Deputy John Curran asked the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if she or bodies and agencies under the remit of her Department plan to make services or payments dependent on the mandatory use and production of the public services card; if so, the services and payments which will now be dependent on the mandatory use of the public services card; and if she will make a statement on the matter. A Public Services Card is not required for access to any of the services currently provided by my Department or any body under its aegis. I am also advised that there are currently no proposals to make services or payments dependant on the mandatory use and production of the public services card.
