Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the State bodies or boards that fall under the remit of his Department; and the number of members of each State body or board who are not qualified within the field in which the board or body has oversight. Board members are appointed on the basis of their suitability to contribute to the good governance of the bodies concerned - this does not necessarily correlate to having a specific qualification in relation to the field in which the board or body has oversight.
