View answerAs the Deputy will be aware, the current law in relation to self defence in the home is set out in the Criminal Law (Defence and the Dwelling) Act, 2011. There are currently no plans to amend legislation to provide for persons to hold products or items in their own homes which could be used for the purposes of self defence.
