Deputy Fergus O'Dowd asked the Minister for Health if tonsillectomies are being performed on persons under 16 years of age in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda; the detail of the withdrawal of these services from the hospital; the number of consultants in the hospital who carry out tonsillectomies; his plans to increase the service being offered at present; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
