521. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his plans to raise the penalty applying to illegally parking in a disabled parking bay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2865/18]

I share the Deputy's concerns regarding those who unlawfully park in spaces reserved for the disabled. I am currently looking at ways to appropriately punish such offenders.
