288. Deputy Seán Crowe asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that dialysis activity at Tallaght hospital has increased to more than 30,000 dialysis treatments per year but that it currently only has a designed capacity for 9,000 treatments per year (details supplied); and if a new dialysis unit at the hospital will be established. As the Health Service Executive is responsible for the delivery of healthcare infrastructure projects, I have asked the HSE to respond to the Deputy directly in relation to this matter.
