Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 140 of 23 October 2019, the number of persons eligible for the GMS and drugs payment scheme, respectively, by LHO area in each of the years 2008 to 2011; and the number of persons that availed of the long-term illness scheme by LHO area in each of the years 2008 to 2011 (details supplied). Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for the administration of the community drug schemes; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
