A data sharing agreement is a formal contract that documents what data is being shared and how that data can be used. Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), all Data Controllers who engage Processors to process personal data on their behalf are obliged to enter into a Data Processing Contract.

My Department has data processing contracts in place with companies providing services in areas such as ICT support, records management, research and consultancy services.
