Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the status of the work underway regarding the monitoring of extreme weather events; if he will report on the impact of same on social, economic and environmental and heritage losses on a functioning database similar to the EM-DAT, the global database on extreme weather events, in the context of the national long-term climate action strategy required under section 3(2)(d) of the Climate Action and Low Carbon Development Act 2015 (as amended); and if he will make a statement on the matter.
