Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection the progress to date in the determination of an application for invalidity pension in the case of a person (details supplied) who has submitted extra documentation as requested; when the application is likely to be finalised; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The person referred to has been awarded invalidity pension with effect from 02 June 2022 and received his first payment to his nominated bank account on 21 July 2022. Arrears due from 02 June 2022 to 20 July 2022 issued to his nominated bank account on 28 July 2022.

I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
