The Government considered, and published, the report of the Future of Media Commission on 12 July last.  Government has accepted in principle 49 of the Report's 50 recommendations, and agreed to the establishment of an implementation group to oversee their delivery.

One of the implementation group's initial tasks is to bring forward an implementation plan in respect of the recommendations accepted by Government. This will include detail on the structure and proposed membership of a consultative group.  I recognise that the experience and insight of a range of stakeholders will be invaluable to the implementation process.
