220. Deputy Pauline Tully asked the Minister for Transport the number of driving tests cancelled by the Road Safety Authority in the past six months in each county in tabular form; the number of driving tests cancelled by the Road Safety Authority that gave candidates less than 24 hours notification; if there is a channel for reimbursement of expenses for candidates whose driving tests have been cancelled at short notice; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The details requested are held by the Road Safety Authority, the statutory body responsible for all aspects of the Driving Test. I have therefore referred this question to the Authority for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
