Deputy Fergus O'Dowd asked the Minister for Education if she will provide an update on the progress of the LMETB headquarters plans for Drogheda; if plans for the headquarters will be funded; if so, when; when the project is expected to commence; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe project referred to by the deputy has been devolved for delivery to Louth and Meath Education and Training Board (LMETB).
The project is currently at Stage 2b of the architectural planning process. The position of both LMETB and the Department is that the completion of the building in question will facilitate the location of all headquarters staff.
At this early stage of the architectural planning process, it is not possible to provide a timeline for completion of the project.
