Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he will outline the actions he has taken to date arising from the report that he directed the management board of the NDFEM to prepare in 2021; the precise action taken relative to each of the recommendations made in the report; if the pay and conditions of those employed in the retained fire services will be substantially improved; if he will intervene immediately to ensure that the services are not disrupted by industrial action; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
