426. Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Education to provide an urgent update regarding an emergency works application submitted by a school (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [35754/23]
View answerThe Emergency Works application, in respect of Fabric Defects, to which the Deputy refers has been reviewed by the Technical area within my Department which has recommended that the works should be scaled back in line with the remit of the Emergency Works Scheme. My Department has recently engaged with the school advising of same. My Department is aware of the time-sensitive nature of the works required and will continue to liaise with the school throughout the application process.
